Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey endorses Elon Musk’s vision for platform
Jack Patrick Dorsey is an American Internet entrepreneur, programmer, and philanthropist who is the co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, as well as the founder and principal executive officer of Block, Inc., a financial payments company. He (Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey) responded to Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter on Monday, suggesting that he supports the move.
Dorsey said in a Twitter thread about what Twitter means to him that Elon Musk is the singular solution he trusts. He continued and said that he loves Twitter. Twitter is the closest thing we have to a global consciousness,” Jack Dorsey began.
He continued saying that the idea and service is all that matters to him and he will do whatever it takes to protect both. He wrote saying “Twitter as a company has always been my sole issue and my biggest regret. It has been owned by Wall Street and the ad model. Taking it back from Wall Street is the correct first step.”

He added that with Musk leading the way, “Twitter will continue to serve the public conversation.”
It remains to be seen whether that conversation will include prominent individuals previously banned by Twitter, such as President Trump or Alex Jones.

A number of people who previously had their accounts suspended, including Tommy Robinson, attempted to rejoin the site last night but were swiftly banned once again.
Dorsey went on to say that he agrees with Musk’s vision of creating a platform that is “maximally trusted and broadly inclusive”. He also asserted that the world’s richest man shares the same goals as Parag Agrawal, who succeeded him as CEO.
